PAL Non-Restricted (12 spots) - June 1, June 22
Full Day Course 8:30 am to 4:30pm at Hub Sports. Book included.
The Possession and Acquisition Licence allows an individual to own and buy non-restricted firearms (most rifles and shotguns), and to buy ammunition. The licence is valid for five (5) years and must be renewed prior to its expiry. There is a 28 day waiting period for first-time applicants. After being licensed, an individual can apply for a firearm transfer.

RPAL Restricted (12 spots) – June 23
Full Day Course 8:30am to 4:30pm at Hub Sports. Book included.
The Restricted Possession and Acquisition Licence allows and individual to own and buy restricted firearms (non-prohibited handguns and semi-auto, center-fire rifles and shotguns with barrels shorter than 18.5″). Having a PAL is a prerequisite to obtain a RPAL. The RPAL is valid for five (5) years and must be renewed prior to its expiry. An individual must obtain an Authorization to Transport (ATT) for restricted firearms.

2 Day Course 8:30am to 4:30pm at Hub Sports, both days. Book included.
The CORE program is BC’s hunter education program. It is mandatory for BC residents age 14 or older who wish to obtain a BC Resident Hunter Number card. Participants must be at least 10 years old to take the course. The Hunter Number will allow an individual to buy a BC Resident hunting licence. The Hunter Number does not need to be renewed.
